I took a look at Brock Lesnar mma record and was impressed by it. He fought the best at the time and ducked literally no one. Not bad for someone who many consider as a fake fighter. And don't forget he was the one who ended Undertaker unbeaten Wrestlemania streak. MMA would never reach their mainstream audience without fighters like Lesnar, Cm Punk, Ronda, etc

Outside of his first fight he fought killers. Herring ended up being a bust in the UFC but at the time was hyped a bit. You can say what you want but Brock is beast. Smashing Mark after rolling out of a WWE ring isn't easy even when you're juiced.

Brock went straight to the top of the food chain. If he went local circuit, the B leagues, then Japan, then UFC can crushing and record padding (ala Mighty Mouse style), then he could have been 100-0. He still is, and will likely always be, the only fighter that went from straight to the cream of the crop and was fighting UFC champions in his second fight. Mark Hunt and some K1 guys did things kind of similar, but not even them just dieted solely on elite elite elite fighters.

Real fighters, like BJ, Hunt and Brock, guys with .500 records are the true real fighters that pushed themselves to the brink. Only fair weather dorks think that records are an indication of how good you are.

Come on man be nice. Brock got paid $12 million for that fake fighting in 2016 alone and he is on a part time schedule. Who wouldn't take that deal?

Fun fact: He was actually favored to beat Velasquez, especially after the Carwin fight.

Kind of weird to think about in hindsight, but his stock was super high before the Cain and Overeem fights, then pretty much everyone assumed he was done after his intestines almost fell out.

Brock had no problem fighting in a smaller league like Dynamite!! to show that he was legitimate first. CM Punk refused to fight in a crappy org and demanded to immediately fight in the UFC because he knew he would be exposed.

In Brock Lesnar's first UFC fight he beat the shit out of Frank Mir but a rookie mistake got him caught in a kneebar (fair play).

In CM Punk's first UFC fight he completely embarassed himself, WWE fans, and anyone who supported him. Their only defense was he had "heart" for getting in there. And that is complete bullshit. I would fight Francis Ngannou for what they paid CM Punk. He is a little delusional guy.

Brock and CM Punk is no comparison. You can chalk it up to roids all you want, but then you would have to dismiss about 90% of the UFC roster. The point remains that Brock has a real martial art discipline background (wrestling), regardless of how awkward his striking looks sometimes. CM Punk comes from... training with Duke Roofus for a little bit.
