Brock really is the most deserving contender. Lewis and Ngannou stunk up the joint. I was driving the Ngannou hype train, but I think Stipe might have taken his soul. Neither of those guys deserve it. Hunt, JDS, Werdum, Overeem, Arlovski. All those guys are old news and on a major decline and will never get a whiff of another title shot. Volkov and Blaydes are deserving, but Brock just pre sold a million PPV's by shoving DC and cutting that great heel promo. Plus DC is a good guy and really deserves the Brock payday. After that, unless DC retires. he could face the winner of a Blaydes/Volkov fight.

Brock isn't very deserving of anything when it comes to MMA. DC does deserve a nice payday but UFC needs to start paying and doing a better production job so more people watch and pay for the fighters to get that, not bringing in celebs/wwe stars to obtain it.

I hate Brock Lesnar too, but he can sell his ass off. I think he deserves it because of how shrewd he is as a business man and the fact that the HW division is a pile of hot garbage. If this were any other division, except maybe flyweight, I would be mad if he got the shot. But he earned it by gaming the system. I mildly respect that. Fighters need to learn from Brock. If Volkov could train himself into having a personality, maybe he wouldn't have to win like 10 straight fights before getting his shot.

I think DC wins, but I would give Brock a small chance just based on the fact that he's literally twice the size of Cormier, he'll obviously be on steroids. And would probably have 50+ lbs on DC come fight night.
