Shiza just got real.
Good. But is MMA still illegal in Germany?
Trying to cash in those Siver dollars before he gets decapitated.
No, not sure if it ever was. Just broadcasting it. The UFC have had a few cards there.
The UFC have done events in Germany so I don't think it's illegal nor has it been for a while.
I live in Germany and this doesn't mean much to me at all.
They probably won't show events live, ppv main cards start at 4am, FOX at 2am. Very few would be watching this on tv at those times.
Back in 2010 they used to show replays of the PPV the almost a week after the event, friday night at like 10pm if I remember correctly.
It was fucking stupid. Who the hell wants to wait a week to watch an event? I'll watch live on fight pass or order PPV (only 17,99€ here).
The worst about the german broadcast was that they got the same german guys to commentate who also do the WWE stuff in Germany. It's unbearable.
Anyways, I wonder what's gonna happen and how they will do it.
I guess they will have to sign Cro Cop again to fill seats if they are going to bother going back to Germany.
Fuck no, I hope they don't cut the free stuff on FP. Can't imagine a TV broadcasting station to cover live events. Sport1 needs to show titties at night to make money.
MMA is not illegal over here, just broadcasting it on Free TV. A friend of mine had a Pay-TV package which included some KOTC stuff, but that's the only MMA you could get on German TV afaik.
Good to hear.
Good news, which is very rare in MMA nowadays
i know, just in time to see siver removed from validity. time to find another german fighter to carry the flag.
these guys gassed 6 million people, but you can't watch mma on tv ... funny
I think they got bigger fish to fry now, you got a new Nazi movement brewing there to counter act the rise of Islamic terrorists..may be a few years away from pure civil meltdown over there.
..That's like saying all Americans are slave masters.
Global fucking domination
Germany doesn't give a shit about MMA/UFC. Dana will be lucky to have a few hundred people tune in to one of those shitty UFC programs/shows they're gonna air over there at midnight or in the morning. Snuggie re-runs average higher ratings. Besides, it hasn't been officially lifted. They'll fight it again so at this point it's still not legal.
