Like everyone after the shields fight, I was outraged and thought he should be banned. Back after some time of him gone I was thinking. His jiu jitsu and leg locks are amazing to watch, that kimura he pulled off was a thing of beauty. Sure he held on to long, but it wasn't THAT long, and he didn't keep cranking on it after the tap, just held it in place for a extra second. On top of that before the shields fight, shields said to him "I'm going to break your arm" so can you really blame him for trying to do the same thing back to him? I think they should let him fight again, even if it's some obscure small promotion.

Palhares is a draw. People want to see who he is going to cripple next.. He is an excellent fighter. One of the greats. It is funny though, ever since the Palhares fight, Shields wants to fight everyone in the streets..lol.

He should stay gone. The guy is a mental midget who is going to do irreparable damages to someone someday. The kimura was the least of my complaints in the Shields fight, he could've been suspended for the blatant eye gouges alone.

while i probably do not share the same view point as others on Palhares.

I feel he's actually good in terms of trying to finish, not being afraid and having killer instinct and in a sense a throwback to the old BJJ guys who were not looking to play the hold you down game they were looking to rip your limbs off or choke you out lol, i don't condone him being like Chong Li in Bloodsport.

I think you should not allow him the chance to do this by knocking him out or submitting him.

I think the difference is he can't see that MMA is not NHB anymore lol while I really enjoyed the Vale Tudo/NHB years I totally understand why people would be outraged by him. I'm not so blood thirsty for his head like others though.

I think he should meet his match and maybe get a taste of his own medicine? I don't know like after all it is a fight...

He's too dangerous for the sport. If he could simply follow the rules of the game, I would be on board with him returning, but time and time again he kept pushing the limits and showed no incentive to change.

I doubt he would do anything differently, if he was reinstated. I think he has that type of mindset that doesn't see the wrong in what he does and will continue to push limits every chance he can.
