"Who knew sorting out the troubles would be so hard?"........That's wishful thinking I am afraid. The wounds there run deeper than what could be resolved with a single democratic vote.

The UK expected that the threat of a no-deal Brexit would make the whole EU cave in to their demands.
The UK has a long history of negotiating badly with Europe, especially Germany. Which always leads to disasters. Not just in the 20th century either. But the Congress of Vienna, where Britain got crumbs while Prussia became a superpower. Then Parliament (and the Royal Family) betrayed Hanover when Prussia annexed them later. Will they do the same with Northern Ireland? Labour/Lib Dems certainly would.
Most morons invoke ww2..…you've gone back to the Vienna Congress.....I repeat......with added...Not true? Giving in to Germany demand's has never gone well for the UK.

im starting to wonder what the EU is actually waiting for. is the plan just to wait until brexit totally fails and they quit trying to leave?
EU dont want to be seen as the one slamming door into UK face.

Boris most recent offer seemed like a genuine attempt at compromise,

There already were two referendums held by both Irish and UK voters, forming a joint agreement by both Westminster and Dublin, and leading to a peaceful solution to the “Irish problem”. It’s the Good Friday Agreements. What you are calling for in this post already happened. It’s lead to unprecedented peace on the island. This problem is fixed and sorted. Disrupting that peace will be solely the fault of the party going back on their word.Personally, I can't wait for an action-packed Westminster-Dublin co-sponsored and legally-binding Northern Ireland's Irish-or-U.K vote.
Actually, perhaps it should have been held already, between the Scottish Independent referendum and the Brexit one, then we wouldn't have this left-over "Irish problem" at all.
Coup. Same as across the pond.
How Bercow has remained Speaker is a glaring example of how dysfunctional Parliament is.
Has it ever been that bad? There are so much loopholes and recourses it's amazing that the British government and Parliament ever get shit done.
Don't know, but the way Remain MPs have worked with the EU to undermine Parliament for three years puts to shame any of the most outrageous allegations against Trump and working with foreign powers. Real collusion over and over again.
