International Brexit Discussion v9: The Last Extension

The British people should get their will and THEN we will see how good or bad this decision really was. Jesus, give the independent UK at least the time of one clean legislative period. The pro EU side has to accept this democratic decision, no matter how hard it is or how harmful it will be for the country.

In my opinion a 2nd referendum, without executing the 1st one, is very hard to justify. Many people would feel betrayed, because it feels like you try to "overwrite" their democratic vote. Furthermore math is a bitch. Lets assume we will get a 1-1 result and then what? Will you be in favor of a 3rd referendum?

True justice is only possible if the 1st referendum will be executed and this will all its consequences.

Nobody is stopping the UK from leaving, they're the ones who cant get their shit together and keep asking for extensions.

They can leave t today if they want but when the reapply they'll be treated the same as any other country, so no rebates, no sterling and instead Schengen. That's if the UK even exists in it's present form.

This is true. The EU refused to compromise or act in good faith from the start while the British establishment has continued to negotiate with people who have no plans to actually allow Brexit.

This is on Parliament. EU has just made it clear why the UK must leave.

The power elites?

So Boris Johnson doesn't want Brexit?

If you care about the will of the people, you surely are not opposed to a second r referendum. Or do you care more about the will of the 2016 population than of the 2019 one?

What about a third referendum? And that second one, it would take 12 years to happen, right? Because it took more than a decade of stalling before the first referendum could somehow happen.

That’s bullshit and you know it.

The EU will reject any deal, to show other nations they can’t get out easy. That’s the point, to make the UK suffer.

And the EU is working with members of the UK government to sabotage efforts to leave.

Let the UK break up if that’s what the people want. England and Wales together. Scotland on its own. And Ireland finally united, the way it was always meant to be

They had to import in more remain votes. We need worldwide revolution in the west. The globalists and their wicked authoritarianism will be defeated.

The EU will reject any deal,

The EU refused to compromise

The biggest problem is that you can't have the UK out of the EU, the GFA respected and Ulster being treated just like the rest of the UK at the same time. None of this is the EU's fault. The only thing the EU could do about that is letting the UK have full access to the common market without having to follow its rules, which is of course not going to happen.

There are plenty legitimate reasons to want Brexit, but anyone who expects the EU to sacrifice the common market or even thinks that it would be a fair gesture is a gigantic retard.

The UK is the one making deals and then refusing to honour them. The EU on the other hand has been consistent about what is needed for an orderly Brexit and transition.

The UK has been out maneuvered by an opponent who hasn't moved in 3 years.

Brexiteers still have the mindset that Ireland will roll over to make things easy for them .

Northern Ireland. Ulster has 9 counties, 6 of them (FATDAD) form Northern Ireland, the other 3 are part of Ireland.

And what was voted for.... a no deal, a deal, Norway + ?????

Therein lies the issue 'the will of the people ' is murky here
Half the population voted no and the other half were divided over what sort of arrangement they wanted if they did leave( many would have refused a no deal)

And no the other half dont have to just accept it and give it decades before a 2nd vote , its a democracy and they pay their taxes too . If one side loses an election they dont have to meekly allow whatever a new president proposes through for 4 years etc

Such a huge decision should have required a double or supermajority system to pass

An extra bonus from this dumpster fire is a lot people around the world came to the incredulous realization that Northern Ireland is STILL basically European Kashmir. <Lmaoo>

I remember the time when we had threads after threads focusing on things like the common market and food quality and the financial sector and military cooperations and forced refugees allocation, and now it seems all that is moot and the entire argument between the U.K and the E.U now basically comes down to how the U.K can leave without the Irish resume killing each other.

What about them? more referendums = more democracy.

Does anyone believe if Remain won a second referendum, there would ever be a third? Or even talk of a second if they had the won the first?

No one honest believes that. Anymore than they believe the University of Edinburgh would allow a "Resist Blackness" conference on their campus.

This is BS, the EU and the UK did reached an agreement, it was the UK parliament that said no.

So are you a liar or simply ignorant?

If you are a liar, then we have nothing to discuss, you got caught lying.

If you are ignorant, then i recommend you to actually inform yourself before being so zealous about a position. But then again if people did that we wouldnt have fanaticism.

Sure, if they get enough pro-brexit MPs in power, there would be a vote to leave.

Actually you dont believe that the majority are pro hard brexit thats why you want politicians to ignore the will of the majority based on a referendum from 3 years ago.

So the remainers scuttled this agreement?

This logic. They won't allow a GE because they know a No Deal government would be elected. This is as obvious as anything could be. They want to block No Deal before any GE.

Stop with the majority bs. It's for AOC's constituents.
