I hope this is just a coincidence.
Missouri, it's in the St Louis area. About 25 miles from Ferguson.Help a Brit out: what State did this happen in?

Yeah, this is literally right in front of my house. I'm at work, but I just saw a pic of the scene and see my mailbox. Crazy. There's an active speed trap just over the crest of a hill on the road where it took place. People are constantly getting pulled over in front of my house since it's a 30mph zone and there's two schools on this street.
Ballwin is a very nice area comparatively to St. Louis as a whole. Crazy that a cop got shot in front of my house today.

Thanks fellas. It definitely blows my mind that this stuff has bled over into Ballwin. It's not something you think can happen (although anything is possible). I've accidently left my doors unlocked or garage door open for multiple days without really any worry. Sidewalks are filled with people exercising on a daily basis and kids playing. You just don't ever expect to hear of a LEO getting gunned down walking back to his cruiser on a routine traffic stop.
This is a bad direction for this situation to take
