It's his fault he should have come out quick and fought Khamzat but he stayed silent and didn't want. Chimaev would probably have preferred to fight Leon over WB because his higher on the ranking but seems like the train has left now after this win Chimaev for the title and hopefully he will welcome Leon to his first title defense.

Chimeav is not a regular kind of prospect. The guy fights like a seasoned pro himself. And Gerald was not a top 50 guy, he was like top 25 top 20 I'd say.

But if you want to be champ, you have to face these challenges. So why not take a risk on someone like Wonderboy, where the reward will be massive if he wins.

And if he loses it's not that bad, people wouldn't be surprised if he loses to Wonderboy a very legit fighter.

when has Wonderboy been outgrappled though? I guess Woodley utilized some takedowns? Wonderboy is tough to get down and it's because of his foot work, of constantly being out of reach and Khamat haven't really shown any elaborate take down sequences other than march his opponent down and throw a kick to TD, no way Wonderboy is there for the TD

This is a very risky match up for Khamzat.

Thompson makes everyone he fights look very bad. I hope his managers know what they're doing.
 
Wonderboy isn’t close to his prime. How is this the worst matchup, a wrestler with competent striker like Colby would be worse. Khamzat will be favourite and rightly so
 
Wow. Huge leap in competition for khamzat against a bonafide specialist. He could look good or real bad here.
