LONG BEACH, Calif. — Hillary Clinton has earned enough delegates to become the presumptive Democratic nominee, making her the first woman ever to win a major party nomination, the Associated Press reported on Monday night.

A combination of pledged and superdelegates put Clinton over the mark in her contest against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, according to the AP count.

I'm just waiting for that old man to admit defeat and endorse Hillary. His really fans will follow his advice and support Hillary.

The fakes will abandon ship and descend into outcast conspiracy theorist realm.

Nate Silver: Good work by @AP to track down superdels but I'd bet both Sanders & Clinton are peeved 'bout this happening tonight.

Tomorrow, Clinton will also clinch a majority of ELECTED delegates unless Sanders wins every state by 40 points.

She still needs superdelegates to win and they don't officially vote until the convention.

Lol. You can't honestly believe that.

Also. If your a Christian and a real believer you should applaud this. Since it means we are closer to Jesus return.

Nothing is official until the convention, but AP tracked down the super delegates. They aren't voting for Bernie. Plus, as Nate Silver points out Hillary will clinch a majority of delegates unless she loses by 40pts in each state tomorrow. That isn't happening.

Pretty shrewd to announce whether it's official or not. Suck the life out of the primary, and do so during a period in which Trump is getting hammered for the Judge comment. Also I saw Obama might endorse soon, so we will finally get to see what that expected bump in the polls will really look like.

Fuck that bought and paid for bitch.

Trump all the way!

Isn't the AP supposed to be the GOAT unbiased, full factoid, truly journalistic news source? Then they should know that there are a few facts to consider before suppressing potential votes

1. Superdelegates cannot pledge until the convention, so we cannot just assume or "may as well" count them.

2. She has not "won" since she has not secured enough pledged delegates.

3. With a race this close, there very well could be a scenario where the DNC super delegates actually have to consider what's within their rules and choose the person who hasn't secured the majority of pledged delegates.

If we're being honest, the DNC without a doubt disregards the electorate and utilizes their super delegate wild card if they so choose. Meaning in a race within that 58-42% margin, they can and will pick the winner. Maybe something happens between now and then? Ex: Kennedy

Tldr;
The Associated Press is complete shit and an utter farce

The race is not near as close as you seem to be thinking.

They absolutely should not have mentioned this yet.

But this is not as close as 2008, and that was decided by California.

We can do this all night.

Yep, we could.

It is quite telling, in a thread about Hillary "clinching" the Democratic nomination, that you tried to spin it against Trump. There's way more info on Shillary than what you can dig up on Trump, btw.

Will she pick her VP before the convention? Convention isn't till end of freaking July.

I can't remember if Obama did before convention. And I'd not then that sucks cause I am sick of waiting.
