Thread has potential.

Rousimar Palhares's nickname is Toquinho (tree stump), he's pretty much built like one.

Cacareco was the name of a rhino in Sao Paulo's zoo who was massively voted in a mayor's election(that's always happens here) .Rhino in portuguese is Rinoceronte

Cigano means gypsy. He was named that after an actor when he grew his hair out.

Napao means "big nose" apparently.

I like that Brazilian fighters give each other silly nicknames and not always the "Assassin" or the "Hammer"

Anderoid Silva is pretty accurate too. You may be onto something here!

Demian "Costas Pacote" Maia = Back Pack(age)

That's actually a thing in south america and spain.

I'm from spain and i have a friend we call "gorila" because.. well, he looks like a monkey. But it's actually no bad feelings and he responds to it with no ill will if we call him by that nickname.
