I found a few threads about playlists for training/rolling, but I was wondering if anybody had pointers for nice Brazilian music to roll.

When I trained with Cyborg they had nice Brazilian music on the background, and I have been trying to build a playlist since. Unfortunately my knowledge of Brazilian music is limited.

This is what I have so far:
Sergio Mendes/Black Eyed Peas (Timeless album)
Marcelo D2 (Desabafo)
Obando (Batalha)
Emicida (Zica vai la)

Any other pointers here? Specially when it comes to Brazilian urban/hip hop music?

Thanks!

O Rappa (artist) 7 vezes (album) was played on repeat the three weeks I was first at Cyborg's as a purple belt, and I can't listen to it without wanting to roll now. It's rock but has some reggae influence from time to time and some urban feel as well.

dunno the value of the songs for someone that doesnt understand the lyrics ...

o rappa propably would sound nice, as already mentioned.
seu jorge was mentioned, i like him too

i found this music so funny. its about a guy whose friend of his wife keeps hitting on him. and the problem is that "she is hot, if she were ugly it wouldnt matter". and a lot of people on his family dont believe they never had anything and are all pissed at him lol

i cant think of any album/artist now, i guess i will just wait for the suggestions here

Yeah O Rappa is the standard as far as I'm concerned.

Mega thumbs up for Seu Jorge, and I can recommend Marcelo D2's acoustic show, it's awesome.

ANYTHING but the music Marcelo listens to. Sorry Marcelo, I know you're going to guillotine me for this, but I can't stand the BOMBABOMBA BA BOMAB LA BOMBA LA BOMBA BOMBA...

Seu Cuca is a great band too. Daniel BZ (drums) and Sol (bass) are Gracie Barra black belts in Rio. Super nice guys.

I like Di Bob, although I have no idea what they are singing about...

Seu jorge
Jorge Ben (songs in English and Portuguese)
Carlinhos brown
One of the best albums I bought on a lark was nas trilhas do reggae which is awesome smoking and rolling music.

Enjoy man
