Brazilian jiu-jitsu doesn't work, but *this* does...

Why do they blur everyone's faces like they're on SEAL Team 6?

Don't worry folks we got legit gyms in Raleigh too.

Edit I just realized I still have my location at Wilmington lol

that's a very impressive set of buzzwords he spewed out, I'm convinced.

you never know when the CIA might give you a call when you're an expert in concepts like "vulnerable points acquisition targeting"

Because when I think "effective martial arts" I think Raleigh :icon_chee

There's another video around where a guy is saying how JKD is more effective than BJJ and demonstrates it by breaking out of subs being put on him by a 90lb woman and hitting pads in double speed. Equally hilarious

any martial art worth its time training proves it by not bashing other martial arts, but by beating them

Well anything is better than nothing, and I would guess that would work good if a high school football team attacked you....

I have seen that video and it is very funny. Also on the link ts posted they say they teach legal lawful use of force, but encourage stomping your grounded attacker.

how the hell do you train biting and eye gouging?? lol i think ill skip that drill boss

seems like they teach you alot of stuff you can just decide to do yourself if you learned a real MA lol sign me up.

Stomping is legal under Pride rules, so on teh streetz it's obviously ok

Reminds me a of Rex-Kwon-Do.

Wonder how they would fare against that New York guy who chases his students around with sticks and swords?

Sensei Jerry? I need to make it out to that guy's school one day... I need to see this for myself.

Normally I hate attacking martial arts places. I mean, something is better than nothing. When I saw "legal use of force" though, and then went to their homepage and on prominent display is this:

Some say we teach Dirty Ju Jitsu. You are darn right we do! We teach you to…

✓ Eye gouge
✓ Bite
✓ Hair pull
✓ Fish hook
✓ Attack the groin
✓ Break the fingers
✓ Throat strikes and grab the trachea
✓ Clawing, pinching or twisting the flesh
✓ Kick the head of a grounded attacker
✓ Knee the head of a grounded attacker
✓ Stomp a grounded attacker
✓ Kick to the kidney with the heel
✓ Strike downward using the elbow
✓ Strike to the spine or the back of head

Well.. I just had to laugh. :icon_chee

Edit to add:

And then there is this gem..

Do you spar?
NO! Sparring as it typically applies to most martial arts training involves two students agreeing to a set of rules and a referee. While sparring does teach a certain degree of timing, distancing, etc., it does not adequately prepare a student for the likely range and angles utilized by aggressive street thugs. There are obviously no rules in the street. There are no referees. And, fighting is illegal anyway. So, training to spar will likely be viewed as training to fight in court and by law enforcement.

Did anyone watch the videos on the front page?

The knife defense is horrible! Seriously, they're gonna get someone killed doing that open hand smacking crap. You never, and I repeat, NEVER, ever try to strike with someone that has a knife. The number one thing to do while fighting someone with a knife is to get control of the knife, then attack. All they're doing in that video is blocking and smacking. It actually looks like at 0:23 the guy gets stabbed. :icon_lol:

Seems like an effective method of brainwashing the potential students that never want to HAVE to PROVE themselves against a TRAINED opponent into joining a martial art at least :D
