My sherdog brothers and fellow grapplers, I need your help.
Tentatively, in late July 2007 / early August 2007, my master, Relson Gracie, is taking me, some of my classmates and some other association members from the United States to Brazil to train with his dad Helio Gracie at the Ranch, then with Royler Gracie and some other master's from Brazil and then we are to compete in the Senior / Master's Worlds 2007. I will be 40 and this would be my first trip to Brazil and competition there.
I know it is 7 and a half months out but I am anal about planning and preparing things in adavance. My 2006 eurotrip was awesome even if things did not always go as planned. I did get to train with Roger Gracie and meet a lot of sherdoggers on that trip. I also say tentatively because sometimes in the world of grappling and unknown events, things tend to go pear shape (I learned this term in London in 2006) and things can cancel or change at a moments notice (GFC - delayed).
However, I am planning to compete at my master's request and would like any and all info on the what, where, whys of the Senior / Master's Worlds for those of you who live there or competed in the past. Any websites that I can visit etc. that provide some information would be helpful. Helpful hints, places to stay / visit. Isn't there a Marriot hotel close by? Where the girls hang etc.
Also, after training with Helio and then with Royler, we are supposed to have a week off or a lot of free time, if people want to hook up and train I'm up for it. Again, some of you that competed in it, live there and want to have a drink and get together while I am there or can be of any help, please email me [email protected] or pm me.
I am not very political at all. I plan on training with BTT and at Gracie Barra schools too, since Relson is cool with them and did not sue anybody. I also plan on trying to get some Chute Box training too and have Shogun and Ninja sign the pic we took together in Hawaii at the training seminar.
