WBA ordered two separate fights. While an interim title fight was assigned to Rios, a voluntary defense has been afforded to Figueroa (20-0-1), the unbeaten titlist from Weslaco, Texas whom will next face Damien Vazquez (15-1-1, 8KOs).

Last week, BoxingScene.com's Jake Donovan broke the news that WBA world super bantamweight champion Brandon Figueroa will return to the ring against Damien Vazquez later this summer.

According to our sources the fight card will likely land on August 22nd with August 29th and September 5th also as possibilities. The fights will be part of a Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on FS1 broadcast.

We have learned that a fight between the resurgent Diego Magdaleno (32-3) and Isaac Cruz (19-1-1) will also take place on one of those cards in a crossroads encounter where the winner moves up in the ranks.

Big yawn. Only interested in seeing this kid get stopped before like his brother Omar-- he gets a bunch of gift decisions en route to an undeserved title shot. Though For what it's worth he's got more actual skill than (his brother) Omar.
