Brain trauma and CTE, studies show

Other than morons who don't tap or freakish incidents where a stroke occurs it ain't happening.

The impact of head strikes is well established, but if BJJ also leads to all this shit, MMA may one day be unrecognizable. Just in case, this new Russian ass slapping sport seems like a good alternative:

Your thread title is misleading and should be changed.

The first study was based on an active duty soldier, and they suffer concussions all the time; chokeholds would be nothing more than an associated risk, which is not causality. Him suffering a stroke could be due to concussions received while in service, due to personal habits (eating, drinking, smoking, drugs, etc.), or it could be genetic, there's too many factors to pin it on a single variable.

The second study, was based on someone who'd been training in MMA for over a decade, where plenty of sparring takes place, and also makes chokeholds an associated risk, which again is not causality.

Two n1 studies, in which chokeholds are an associated risk, does not prove that "chokes cause brain trauma and CTE."

That bitch in leather pants can't spank for shit

Studies find that white castle farts also cause brain trauma,

Lmfao.

Wrestling has more concussions than football, as does I'm sure boxing. MMA provides concussions from all of the above. But everyone knew that going in.

Have fun in the sport now, because you may pay later. But hey, it's all entertainment.
