Media Brain Shaw says he’d beat Dustin in a real fight

He literally isn't the strongest human on the planet, although I do agree it would be a nightmare for a guy Dustin's size to fight someone that big.

I suppose on the flip side Bryan Shaw is not a trained fighter and has never had a fight as far as I know. He might crumble as soon as he gets hit hard in the face.

On a side note, has anyone else noticed in these kind of videos that they don't seem to roll / spar with other heavyweights? Except Eddie Hall that is. I would like to see Bryan grapple / spar hard with another big guy to see what he can do.

Yeah I've made that comment before, they will never do it because it would ruin the illusion and possibly hurt their brand.

That's why I really respect the Mountain for grappling with Gordon Ryan.

Shaw comes off as the gentle giant nice guy but he has the most fragile ego of them all. Hafthor was egotistical as fuck too but at least he would put himself out there, Shaw's ego is so fragile that he doesn't dare to try.

The Bob Sapp against Nog fight is a good example for this sort of thing. Nog really struggles despite being far more skilled because every time he gets Sapp in a sub, Sapp picks him up and slams him out of it; it happens several times. And Nog is much bigger and more skilled with subs than Dustin, and overall a higher-level fighter. Plus, I don't think Sapp is as big and strong as this guy.

Shaw did a collab with Gordon Ryan. They mostly cut the footage of them rolling. You can see Shaw isn't that good on the ground even when drilling with others while Gordon Ryan is instructing.

You can see how Haftor gets owned by people half their size. Their strength and size matters but they are too big to sustain that type of output. Shaw is just too big of a human to have decent cardio and mobility. The guys that might do better in grappling are the newer gen of WSM winners. Outside of Stoltman they tend to on the smaller side less than 350lbs.

Generally, I'm of the belief the trained smaller man can usually beat the untrained bigger guy. However, aside from Brian just being massive, he's literally one of the strongest humans ever. Strength plays a big role in grappling especially.

Dustin is too small but any UFC HW and LHW (maybe some MWs too) would be able to beat Brian.

The biggest variable in fighting that doesn't get talked about enough is the ability to take a punch. There is a massive genetic variance amongst the population. I've seen guys get slept by guys a foot shorter, 80-100lbs lighter, and 30 years older than they are. Some people cannot take a shot whatsoever.

UFC should just make a SHW division Hire guys like Shaw at this point screw it.
(make the rounds 2 minutes only though)

Why does the the worlds Strongest man at 400lbs challenge 155lbers in the first place? If your so strong -start with the 185lbers as a bare minimum and watch this brute get absolutely punished. They say 'Weight Classes' -but every top LHW and on destroys this guys weight class.

Eddie Hall gets dropped by a gym nobody's head kick that wasnt even thrown with much steam

Also ive seen a huge guy (in person) try and backwards body slam a little 165lb brazilian that had a RNC sunk in and the lil guy was able to adjust and brace so that the big guy took the damage on his own shoulder and he tapped tfo

I mean....the dude is giant and weighs 400 plus pounds..

Kinda of a weird flex to say ud beat a guy 5'9 and 170lbs..( no cut for dustin)

And im not totally convinced he would be beat Dustin but i mean ... Talk about aiming low lol...who nexts Henry Cejudo

The crazy part is there's actually people who'd pick Cejudo to win against Brian Shaw in a fight lol . Shaw kills Cejudo tho, the size difference is too much imo
