He is a proper chap, and Dan Hardy wants to read his book.
Unfortunately, the last sound of his ring career will be a loud chopping sound from an Ecuadorian head kick.
I think Brad is a legend, but I have to disagree with Hardy on one point about exactly how legendary. Chaz & Dave, Brad's walk-in music, will never be "sorely missed". Chaz & Dave were, are and always will be a shit musical experience. As such, Brad should have retired years ago.

A nod to Pickett's cornerman, MIke Brown. The only WEC champ who could have ruled the UFC.

And, which ever judge scored against Allen in the opening match-up should never work again. No excuses for seeing that fight that way at all. Get to the fucking choppa.

Brad is a legendary figure that completly revamped MMA from head to toe, his legacy will live on for generations and be told by the the leaders of the free world for his heroic feats inside the octagon. The name Pickett will be synonymous with courage and leadership, innovative and perfection. We should feel blessed to have even lived for one second to grace his presence, to merely sniff the feet of a legend such as Brad Pickett would be of the highest honor possibly attainable in human civilization.

I always liked the way Pickett boxed and always told anyone watching with me to pay attention to how he throws his punches. That fight with Thominhas is one of the sickest ever. But yeah, he might have been better off retiring a few years ago but fighters wanna fight...

Also cool you mentioned MTB, I remember watching him fight Faber the first time and was pulling for him on sopcast back in the day. Love that he's a coach and apparently a really good one!

Pickett was a good fighter.....

it's weird how much they hyped his retirement though, I kept thinking if this was an American fighter with his record, or a Brazilian, no way they'd receive the same treatment, it's not like Brad is well known in the UK or anything, all in all it was rather strange

nevertheless he seems like a good fella and he wasnt a boring point fighter so hats off to him, wish he'd won that last fight he deserved it

You thinking that Chas and Dave were shit only shows your ignorance. They are legit musicians and were very popular in the 70's and 80's.

I saw Brad fight live 5 times and the crowd loved it when Wallop would start and he would walk down the ramp.

Was pretty sad to see it end that way...especially when he was on his way to winning. Seven fight losing streak...rough.

British legend.
