Apparently judges have the power to imprison people if they write something on social media that makes them uncomfortable, "possibly" threatened or for "malicious use of telecommunication services".

Many judges have power trips and believe they are never wrong.

“His lawyer said something is going to happen to this child. You need to get him away from the mother. There are too many red flags. And the judge said, oh that is in the past,”
said Deborah Vanderhagen.

The petition already has over 500 signatures but I doubt she loses her job
https://www.change.org/p/lee-chatfi...acomb-county?source_location=petitions_browse

This petition is in reference to Judge Rachel Rancilio's censorship, abuse of power and violation of a constituent's right to free speech.

Following the death of Mr. Jonathan Vanderhagen's son, Killian Vanderhagen (2 Years Old), Mr. Vanderhagen began to criticize the court which issued the ruling refusing to grant him physical custody of his son. Mr. Vanderhagen believes the court responsible, at least in part, for his son's death. Whether Mr. Vanderhagen is correct in his assertion or not, it is despicable his being jailed over his criticisms of the 16th Circuit and, more narrowly, Judge Rachel Rancilio. The details as reported are as follows;

"Following the death of Killian Vanderhagen, his father, Jonathan Vanderhagen, was incensed that the child was placed in the custody of his ex-wife, who he felt was unfit, and when his child died, he began posting his criticisms of the system, and Judge Rancilo, who he felt was responsible for his child’s death, and promising, “I’m gonna dig up all the skeletons in this court’s closet.” (An investigation did not indicate that the mother caused the death)

The judge claimed to feel threatened, and referred the matter to police, who found no threat, but for "some reason" he was charged with “malicious use of telecommunications services,” and released on $2000 bond.

When he continued his criticisms, his bond was revoked, and now he is sitting in jail on $500,000 bond."

If it is Judge Rancilio's opinion that her interpretation of the law being used to jail Mr. Vanderhagen as well as the way that she is using her power to influence its enforcement is true and just, she lacks the common sense and decency to sit the bench.

We call on the Michigan State House of Representatives led by Mr. Lee Robertson Chatfield to begin an impeachment investigation into what actions Judge Rancilio took and to what extent she may or may not have used her position vindictively as an act of censorship and retaliation against Mr. Vanderhagen.

Please join us in preserving the supposed high ethical standards of Michigan's Judicial and Legislative Branches by taking immediate action and signing this petition.

To sum it up.

Female judge makes a custody decision in favor of an unfit mother that leads to the death of a child.

Grieving father criticizes her for it on social media. She has him arrested for the criticism.

For this?
If this is the worst they have on him, meh
“Dada back to digging and you best believe I’m gonna dig up all the skeletons in this court’s closet.”

To hell with that. This seems like a flagrant violation of his 1st amendment rights. He didn't make any threats; he's just laying blame. I hope he wins the trial and sues this judge.

The link says the child’s death wasn’t linked to mom. What actually happened to the kid?

Freedom of speech. It's worth defending. And dying for.

Good question. It only says police didn't "find evidence" that she was directly responsible for his death and the father doesn't agree. The circumstances don't seem to be getting released.

Regardless. The issue is a judge sending someone to jail for criticizing them and their decision on social media. Followed by the lack of accountability for judges.

Damn that's in Detroit too. That's not a fun jail fun jail for a White boy. I hope that cunt loses her Job and gets sued.

Signed the petition. Not only should the judge lose her job, she should go to jail.

Thought this would be some men's rights thread where some idiot mouthed off in a courtroom and got arrested.

This is just retarded though. This won't end particularly well for the judge professionally.

It needs to become based bad politics to automatically favor women in custody disputes. Like 20 years ago, actually. Free ride is over ladies. Men and women actually need to stand together for equal rights on this one. Many women use their children for power trips, and it's disgusting.

The judge is an idiot.

It will never happen. We have been headed into the opposite direction for a long time.

It's rooted in the same hypocrisy as abortion: It takes two to make a baby! Men need to take responsibility! Equality!

Yet men have absolutely no choice on whether or not the woman has an abortion. If they want the child, the mother can have an abortion without their consent. If they don't want it, the mother can decide to keep the child and the father has to pay child support. That's gender equality? Which is why it's so hilarious that being pro-abortion is called being pro-choice. Men have no choice in the matter.

For the record, I strongly support abortion. But I recognize the intense hypocrisy surrounding the issue.

It was stunning and brave. A true victory for women everywhere

Sounds about right for the 16th circuit. Cunts

And why the fuck would it not end well for her?
