Boxing trining for kids

So I have two sons aged 3 and 1. I would like to get them some basic training in boxing and just how to basic punches, combinations, head movement as they get older. I just figure this is useful for boys, as they will inevitably face bullies and confrontations somewhere down the road.

Obviously I will wait tile they are maybe 7 or 8 to start anything like this and again it's not going to be anything fancy. Can someone guide me on how to approach such training. For example if I want to just do this with them at home would you recommend any training manuals or books or methods I could use? That's for any thoughts.
 
Play wrestle with them. Kids love it and it teaches them a good instinct for angles and range. Add striking simulations, such as tickling, puppy kisses (i.e. sniffing them), or "smell my feet". It makes it a funny game where they learn to defend whilst attacking and you will be surprised at some of the innovative tactics they use to force you to smell their feet. If they attempt something good, let them win. After all, they have to win regularly to keep wanting to play. But you have to win just enough so it is still challenging and fun for them.

My four year old son now blocks and defends himself with his knees and elbows. He loves it when I simulate hurting myself when I kick his knee or punch his elbow. He runs around the house begging me to hit him (lol, weird dimension where domestic violence is preferrable). We practice trying to dig our elbows into each others muscles. It is gentle enough to provide some discomfort without hurting. As we work the different angles we are actually working the different types of elbows and how they flow off a defence. Its very cool and very fun. My six year old daughter spars with me using all defences, kicks and punches, and she spars with confidence and without ego. It is all just a game of tag.

When your kids look back on these games, they will not remember Dad teaching them how to fight/defend themselves. They will remember Dad playing with them. Those are the memories they will hold long after you are dead. Those games just happen to also teach them how to use all of their bodies to defend themselves. Play with your kids and the rest will take care of itself.
 
With kids that young you mostly just want them to copy your movements. That's what they can comprehend best.
 
I have a good amount of experience working with children ages 5-12

Ages 5-9: Basics, and make it fun, they dont care about angles and turning hips etc. Etc. They want to have fun. Make it fun, it will peak interest, then they might pursue it. (if its your own child with decent patience, you could prob get a bit more technical)

I make games, like punch the bomb. Inflat some balloons, make them throw uppercuts while staying in stance at balloons. If it hits the ground there out. Simple but kids go crazy for this shit.

Another one is dodgeball, small soft ball. Teach them proper throw (similar to cross) but the catch is they can punch it to block the ball. Also cover up and roll to block with arms.

Ages 10+: same thing, make it fun, but you can get into more technical details.

Their kids, i think 90% of it is making it fun and letting them learn naturally how their body moves, while laying down basic fundamentals you can build upon later.
