Beterbiev-Smith Main Event Drew Average Audience Of 912,000 Viewers On ESPN

The June 18 edition of Top Rank Boxing on ESPN fired on all cylinders, including a main event where an average of 912,000 viewers tuned in for Beterbiev’s second-round, technical knockout of Joe Smith Jr.
Saturday’s offering enjoyed a far more positive trend. The boxing telecast outperformed its televised lead-in, a well-received UFC Fight Night which drew an average audience of 716,000 viewers.

Lol at MMA.

Who fucking cares? I like both sports, but you boxing purists around here are irritating. What's the point about gloating about boxing outperforming MMA on an MMA website anyway? Besides, I don't think those numbers take the ESPN+ App into consideration.

Even so, one was a Fight Night card headlined by a couple of FW's that most people have never heard of and the other was a LHW unification bout. I watched both and the UFC card was way more entertaining with 8 knock out finishes.

And as previously mentioned that UFC card (which was one of the most entertaining cards of the year) was the lead in to the Top Rank Main Event (which delivered as well) All in all it was a great night for combat sports.

Lol for what a show or two? This is sure thread worthy BC boxing hasn't beat MMA in anything consistently in ten plus years

I don't know much about boxing, but isn't Beterbiev/Smith a more important matchup than Kattat/Emmett?
As far as I know its even more important than the previous headliner of the UFC card Luazon vs Cerrone ( chuckles ).
Boxing has to show stats for UFC's weakest cards (on paper) to show its superiority
However, I am happy its doing well, combat sports should all do well. Better than handegg and hooping

Said the twat that very obviously did NOT see the fight on Saturday.
You "mma only" types are just precious.
And you 'boxing purists' are a sad bunch of inbreds who get triggered when someone calls the sport you masturbate to 'boring'.

Imagine the thought process one must go through to decide to make this thread, it's sad, embarrassing, and reeks of insecurity.

The last time the UFC had two champions fighting for free on ESPN+ it set records.

ESPN+ Service signs up over 568,000 subscribers on Friday and Saturday
ESPN logs 1.4 rating, largest for a UFC Prelims Fight Card On Cable Since 2013.

I love both sports by the way. But one of these things is not like the other comparatively.

It beats UFC consistently. The most watched program every year is boxing.

I don't really follow boxing much. I watch the big fights live like Fury and Joshua. Only because most my mates tune in to those fights and couldn't give a fuck about MMA, and I watch with them.
