Royce Gracie, Josh Barnett, Gary Goodridge and there was never a shortage of douchebags looking to shit on them. I actually think they Royce Gracie incident is where the fighter bashing rule came from.

I'm guessing this goes back to original sherdog.

In fairness it has to be a two way street. The rules are simply to try be respectful but anyone posting here knows the amount of shit talking that happens here particularly drunk talk on fight night.

it's a strange thing when a person with some notoriety mingles with people in forums. Usually, it just goes bad and I can't tell you why. Jesse Glover, Bruce Lee's first student was run off a forum by fans, it's something that crosses my mind now that I post on a Bruce forum and I knew Bruce's main guy. I only signed up after he died, sort of grieving but I don't play up too much how close we were because I know how it'll go. Fortunately, most forums are really slow these days.
