Has a top 10 p4p list from 2000-2016 been as strong?

1. Carlos Zarate
2. Carlos Monzon
3. Roberto Duran
4. Alexis Arguello
5. Miguel Canto
6. John Conteh
7. Wilfred Benitez
8. Carlos Palomino
9. Victor Galindez
10. Esteban De Jesus

Damn insane list. The top 5 is absolutely disgusting 5 of the greatest ever. Conteh was a monster before hand problems and one of LHW h2h GOATs. Benitez we all know how good he was. Around that time span he fought Palomino in a super, super close fight (i had El Radar by a round). Esteban was an amazing LW one of Puerto Ricos greatest. Dont know much about Galindez.

The top 5 is nasty tho again. Zarate is arguably the GOAT BW a least h2h and one of the greater fighters p4p IMO and Canto is similar range p4p and being a h2h monster. Tho different styles with him being one of the greatest defensive stylists. Arguello is top 30 p4p and GOAT JR LW, Monzon is close and top 3 MW alltime. Duran is top 10 p4p and arguably GOAT LW.

where did you find this? that's awesome, It's nearly impossible for me to find anything before 1980. I've only heard wispers about one from 76ish.

if you have more of these, please upload them, they're rare as can be, even on the internet

I never really got what their criteria was for those mags back in the 70s. The top 5 is fine but then Carlos Palomino? I mean, take a look at who he fought in 1977 and prior. His best win is Davey Boy Green and then hardly anyone with with a +.500 resume aside from Stracey. That's a pretty soft P4Per. Frankly, aside from the obvious guys at the top, we've had deeper P4P lists in recent years.

I recall one old mag I had with Pepino Cuevas in the top 5 from around 1980.

If it was 1977 and you were facing a boxer named Carlos, you were in for a long night.
