In the Kemerovo region, a bar visitor beat a 25-year-old boxing trainer from Kyrgyzstan Bolot Atakulov, as a result of which the young man died from his injuries.

In one of the bars of the city of Leninsk-Kuznetsk Bolot was relaxing with a girl. A quarrel broke out between them, and one of the visitors decided to intervene in the conflict, Tengrinews.kz reports.

The drunk man took the guy to the street, where they started a fight. The suspect knocked down the young boxer and hit his head on the asphalt several times. Eyewitnesses called for an ambulance. In the hospital, the victim was diagnosed with a head injury, a fracture of the temporal bone of the skull and a brain contusion. A criminal case has been instituted against the suspect. He faces up to 8 years in prison.

Bolot Atakulov was the boxing champion of Kuzbass, the champion of Siberia, the winner of the Russian Cup, the winner of the Siberian Cup, the winner of the Kuzbass Cup, the winner of the Russian Championship.

MORAL OF THE STORY:
Regular Joe or boxing champ, anyone can die in a street fight.
Don't be dumb, fight in the ring, never in bars or on the streets.

And if you fight on the streets,be sure to win

I've never boxed but I'm a sherdogger so I'm pretty sure I'm Mike Tyson in the streets

How do we know he was a "boxing champion"? Dude probably fought a bit and trained some scrubs.

Thanks for that wisdom.

The added moral of the story is that even elite fighters can lose streets fights if drunk.

Another moral to the story is, train BJJ. That way you can take that guy down and choke him. No risk required.

having spent about 3 weeks in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan I can't say I blame people for drinking

now getting stomped out? not so much

Many people including fighters greatly underestimate the effect of alcohol on your motor skills.

Also some fighters get a feeling of invincibility so they make stupid moves in street situations.

I recall the falcoa (however you say his name) vid where him and his friend got into a fight at a gas station. At the beginning they rained hands on their opponents who fled into the street. Had they stayed in the store and let their opponents funnel themselves through the door they may have made it out ok.

Instead they chased them into the street and got beaten half to death with 2x4s.

BJ penn is another example. Trying to de-escalate/talk down a potential fight with someone who is twice your size and aggressively invading your personal space is a huge mistake.

Once they invade your "bubble" in an aggressive manner it's time to take defensive action. And by defensive action I mean wreck them before they get a chance to throw that cheap shot.

Also, your surroundings are a risk on its own. Easy to trip or lose footing. Not to mention people trying to break up the fight may end up being worse than letting you fight(this happened to me, got my face pounded in while to people held me back trying to stop the fight, only nobody held him)

In Russia everyone can throw a punch, even a pro boxer can get caught
