Some may feel this is a pointless endeavor, but for me I find it helpful having a quick reference list of the aspects that make up a complete boxer. I've tried to articulate each as best I can, but some may disagree with my definitions.

This list could be used as a tool for rating the skillset's of your favorite boxers, or to assist you in assessing your own abilities. If you feel that I've missed anything important, please feel free to add to the list.

Technique - Moving and punching correctly.

    Head Movement - Slipping punches.

Footwork - Balance and how gracefully you move around the ring.

Hand Speed - How quickly you punch.

    Reflexes - Reaction time.

Accuracy - Hitting moving targets successfully.

Timing - Figuring out your opponents rhythm.

Range - Gauging distance and reach effectiveness.

    Stamina - Gas tank.

    Power - Hitting hard.

Agility - Speed and reaction time.

    Defense - Blocking/avoiding being hit.

    Chin - Enduring head shots.

    Body - Enduring abdomen shots.

Heart - Willingness to continue when faced with adversity.

Guts - Willingness to engage a dangerous opponent.

    Toughness - Absorbing punishment.

    Composure - Mental toughness.

Ring Generalship - Awareness of surroundings and ability to act accordingly.

Strategy - Creating game plans based on opponents strengths/weaknesses.
