Bottom half guard to back mount? - No gi

So i was at my first submisison wrestling class (been to two previous mma classes, but this my first sw class)

And we were drilling how to escape the bottom half guard, to take the opponents back and flatten him/her out.

I wonder if any one has a tutorial or knows a vid on the internet that helps explaining this. There must be a lot of ways to do it but this particular way was like this;

1 Push down on the opponents hip with my hand.
2 shrimp, after Ive created distance, bring my knee in and place it on his/her hip
3 push knee down to create space
4 underhook & escape under the underhooked arm & take back

May not have been a great way to explain it, but I dont know what the escape is called. Can anyone help me? really feel like i need to see it a couple of times..
 
i always take my outside leg and drive the knee into the bicep, gain same side wrist control. kick leg through to sit up and arm drag to take their back.
 
i also go straight to a garcia grip after taking the back.
