hopefully im wrong, but i think chris and DC will win via holding on to their opponents, whether it be on the ground or against the cage.

how do you guys see these fights playing out?

i just hope it stays standing.

If by "holding on to" you mean wrapping an arm around the neck and squeezing until the other guy quits, that's a possibility. I don't think either of these fights will be boring.

Chris doesn't "hold" people.

It's a possibility, but i'm predicting 2 finishes in good fights.

Nah. Rumble doesn't have the cardio to go to a decision with DC. He will either win early, or he will be finished, and either way it will be spectacular.

Hmm... same exact thing with Vitor, and Weidman actually. Weird.

Rumble had a smooth sailing 3 round fight with Phil Davis and he looked fine. I was actualyl very impressed with his cardio. His next two fights were finished in the first round so we didn't see more of that.

People always say that. Go back and watch that fight again. Rumble was tired in rounds 2 & 3. He blew his wad in the 1st, suddenly slowed way down, and just coasted, never regaining that first wind. Luckily almost nobody noticed, because he was in there with Phil Davis, who can't bust a grape.

They could.
Any fight can end up being boring.
We've learned that by now...

This.

He is known for pressuring and outstriking everyone. He doesn't take too many steps back. Neither does Vitor.

Whether they are standing or on the ground, it will be a very active fight. I have not seen a Weidman fight that wasn't entertaining and dominating. He is very active on the ground and does real damage using hard punches and elbows, he will also attempt submissions rather than play it safe because he has so much confidence that he doesn't have to worry about letting the opponent back up.

dc 25 minute wall and stall decision

weidman and belfort - probably a finish

Exactly.

TS got it ass backwards, both fights have a great chance of being really exciting.

Win or lose, Vitor rarely has boring fights. Oddly enough, the most recent exception is when he fought Rumble, which was also Rumbles last boring fight.

Yeah, kinda this.

I pick Rumble by early KO and Weidman via probably long and brutal GnP.There is possibility DC could try to grind on Rumble but I hope that doesn't happen because I still want to see Jones vs Rumble. On the other hand I have a very hard time seeing Weidman LnP anyone. Just doesn't seem like that type of a guy.

I think these two fight will be great. In fact this whole card could be awesome top to bottom

The matchups certainly look great this weekend. So much talent on one card. Feels like a throwback.
