If only Hammering Hank's book would have said under segregation, he was happy to be given a chance to play baseball, instead of talking about the obstacles he had to overcome, I doubt Florida would have a problem with it. Better yet don't talk about segregation because children are too soft to handle the topic.
Florida's school system seems to want to remove any mention of segregation or slavery to disappear from our school systems. Cant wait for my kids to be forced to watch Birth of a Nation as part of their curriculum.

I guess my kid can only read about white baseball players who are in the Hall of Fame, in Florida. I am going to start hoarding copies of Roots on DVD in Florida because once it gets banned I can sell them on the black market.
A place Jackie Robinsons stayed in Sanford, Florida, while in the minors, is a historical home in Sanford, I wonder how long stays a historical site.
Thanks DeSantis.

"Right now, 26 books for grade school students in Duval County are being held for review by the district to determine if they comply with a new Florida law.

Duval County Public Schools is currently waiting on state guidance before accepting or rejecting those books as part of school curriculum or into school libraries. "

Why are you trying to make up drama where there is none?

Some of the nonsense being taught in schools doesn't help imo where it concerns a lot of the racial stuff.... with this just to point out segregation existed?? Not sure the issue. That doesn't hold anyone back like some of the systemic crap being taught... but history is history and fine to teach.

Ok... this is another perspective. Thanks.

Florida is #2 is the country as far as banning books in school. Texas is #1. There are conservative teachers in Florida submitting 150 books for banning a year for unhinged reasons like it features two male penguins caring for an egg and black olympians getting discriminated against 70 year ago.

Thus conservatives whining about government sponsored censorship is a huge joke. They make up laughable arguments about white kids suffering massive guilt from this information when you have to be an idiot to think some kid is losing sleep over a lesson on segregation promoted by old strange people before they were born.

A book about Hank Aaron is under review, so what have I made up.
Hank Aaron's book messed up and talked about obstacles he faced under segregation and I guess you cant expose kids to that kind of horror. They are too soft. I blame their parents, that our government has to protect kids from learning about overcoming adversity to become the all time home run leader.
Texas has school books calling slaves, workers so Florida is on its way in dictating how children learn about our past. I wonder why they are afraid of teaching the unfiltered truth.
Good to know you are for banning books, I get real scared when the government tries to dictate what I can read.

Guess it's them damn lib tards wanting to stop people learning history and exposing the horrible stuff people have done to others

the left started the race to the bottom in the war on speech. dont censor shit and get mad when the other side sinks to your level.

Government censorship =/= private business censorship.

What books have the left tried to have removed from libraries?

tom sawyer is a well-known example. pejorative reference in general to western lit as "dead white males." twitter files, pronoun police, attacking and intimidating speakers on college campuses, the list goes on.

the left owns censorship. we started with "say 'he or she! his or hers!'" decades ago and we are now at go to jail or get fined for misgendering a man with fake boobs. the left is a retarded cesspool of hell, relying on decades-old racial grievances and accomplishments on civil rights and labor to convince anyone they still have human interest in mind.

the left is an extremist religious organization complete with its own blasphemy laws. basically terror cells inflicting their bullshit on the free people of the west, obtaining their retarded marching orders from giant media corporations which want the US to look like china, controlled and surveilled, while leaders send their kids to private school, live in gated communities, and eat at the finest restaurants. leftists have basically exposed themselves over the past few years, and all means of resistance are viable and moral at this point.

And this is why everyone that's not a partisan douchebag has to suffer
