Bold Prediction: Stephen Thompson (+285) beats Johny Hendricks

Stephen Thompson @ +285 is a good bet. I favor Stephen Thompson to win this and in my mind he should be the slight underdog at about -150.

Hendricks: 5'9, 69 inch reach
Thompson: 6'0, 75 inch reach

He's a big WW and is pretty strong with good take down defense. He has that in and out karate style like machida, combine that with his 6 inch reach advantage...I think he can definitely pick Hendricks apart as he uses his range very well.

Hendricks can win this by pressuring and taking him down (especially if Thompson attempts his risky kicks) and holding him there, or by finding the distance and getting the KO which I don't see happening.

Would make the bet right now and post the betting slip but for some reason my sportsbook (betonline) doesn't have the bet up right now.

It's not impossible but it is unlikely. Thompson needs space to do his thing and I don't think hendricks is going to give him an inch. At the beginning of each round Thompson will have a few seconds before Hendricks is all over him and that will be his chance.

I can see it happening. I think his distance and striking style will cause some problems early on. I honestly see Hendricks being able to take him down without too much trouble. It should be a good fight either way
