Could we stop the whole "It's Africa not Islam" nonsense? I swear I must have made a million posts on this and I've literally never had a good response. The same tards who post this shit were the ones hailing Southeast Asian Muslim nations like Indonesia as proof of Islam not being the issue, not realizing the same shit is happening over there.

(Sub-Saharan) Africa has a lot of issues that has resulted in a lot of violence like civil war and ethnic conflicts but outside of the Islamic regions, where is the religious violence? Outside of the Islamic regions, of course. Kony and his band in the jungle? Where are these African Christians and shamans killing other people for not being their religion?

I'm not Africa and I'm not religious so I really have no stake in it. If someone can show me evidence pointing in a direction contrary to mine, I'll happily accept it. Until then could we just stop accepting the idea that Black Africans will kill each other over anything and that Islam could be anything when pretty much the vast majority of religious conflict in Africa, at least what is reported in the media, involves Islam somehow?

The Christian areas have just as much violence, they just use a different excuse. Take the Congo for example. Not Muslim, strong majority Christian. Or Rwanda. Not Muslim, strong majority Christian.

Take a vacation there, you should be safe. None of those dirty Muslims.

I would have to say that it is just a violent culture in all of sub saharan africa. the christian nations are certainly not any less violent, they just dont scream about god while they kill each other. The religion doesnt change the amount of actual violence.

I volunteer a few evenings a month of my time talking with newly arrived Ibo, Benin and Yoruba immigrants. I provide a "familiar" face, try to but them at ease, counsel them on getting acclimated to Canada (how to dress warm, social services, job search, adult education, not using corporal punishment as a first option, where to score the best ox tail, etc).
