It just didnt seem like he should have lost after getting through both okami and Lombard, such a bizarre run with the barbarian lately.
He got kinda lucky against Okami and definitely lucky to win a clear robbery against Lombard. Still, last night was just sad and Costa should have been DQd. Boetsch's couldn't fight because of the headbutt and eyepoke and when illegal moves render your opponent unable to continue then you should be DQd, intentional or not.
I think so. A bad cut, not being able to see properly and a hurt right hand is definitely going to have an impact.
Well both are illegal and it clearly affected him. I would like to see a rematch since boetsch was looking good prior.
Come on man, LUCKY against okami? No way you can deny his heart in that fight. And lucky against Lombard is correct.
I believe he is overrated but I think he wins the rematch..if they fight again..I think he was lucky against Okami and Lombard was off during there fight and both Lombard and okami beat him in a rematch
I don't like fighters making excuses, but the head butt and eye poke clearly took Boetsch out of the fight. He obviously couldn't see well. This fight should have been stopped. I'd have been happy with a no contest rather than a DQ loss for Costa. Side note: I think Kim Winslow is a bad ref. I've got no problem with women reffing, but I wonder if she feels pressured to keep fights going longer than a man would, because she doesn't want to seem overly delicate or sensitive.
