I engage in boxing and martial arts which requires cardio. I take time off because cardio based sport is catabolic so I take mini breaks to replenish my test levels.

What I notice is the fact that I get major respect from everyone when I build lean mass. There is no denying women don't love muscles. Although it has to be lean and symmetric.

It also opens doors for new possibilities like folks asking for personal training or body modeling.

When you “take time off” are you doing a bulking faze to put muscle on but not as cut?

Or are you taking complete time off and getting fat?

Reason I ask is because many moons ago, I had gotten into the “bro lift” faze of life and put on a lot of muscle.

I was pretty cut, but not shredded. I still had a six pack but it was a soft one.

It was interesting how people see you when you are really big,
ANYWAY I moved and started thia boxing again(I moved back to Thailand) and I realized how fucking slow I had gotten.

I dropped of about 20lbs in the next few months not hardly lifting a weight at all, and only light weight high reps etc

And I was surprised, how much better I felt overall and how fast I got my speed back.

I think everyone has a “perfect size” for their body, frame and life desires.

While being a big as hell 245lbs was cool, I prefer a shredded 225lb size maximum for me.

yup. it benefits you socially when you are in good athletic shape. what i notice at least for myself, is that it instantly gives you respect from others, because they recognize that you are hard-working enough to put in the time and effort to treat your body right. and if you do that, you are more than likely to pursue other interests with the same effort.

To be honest with you i don't cut or bulk. I try to eat on maintenance level. The thing I keep in mind is being symmetric and building lean tissue. I do like to eat so I suppose I lean towards weight gain.

With diet I focus on a meat free diet that is mostly raw or non processed but... Caribbean chicken is too damn good and it is lean protein..

Girls are dumb

They see abs on a skinny guy and get wet

Maintaining a low body fat percentage whilst having a decent amount of muscle is virtually a full time job naturally

You sound fat and lazy

All you gotta do is just eat healthy and go to the the gym 3 times a week and lift heavy and you'll be in decent enough shape to put yourself ahead of almost everyone out there other than the folks that work out more than you.

I'm like the smallest dude at my gym but I walk into walmart and people are kissing my rings and shit

people who look better are perceived as better, that is fact, thats why the tv is filled with good looking chicks reading the news and shit

I'm still lean and in good shape but sometimes I miss being jacked like I was in my early 20's. I think I still could be if I lifted weights as much as I did back then but I find when I lift a lot it takes away from the snap on my punches and my cardio suffers.

Everybody is interested in competitive athletics. Other people who work out a lot are interested in people who work out a lot. Bodybuilding really isn’t interesting to anybody but full on fitness nuts.

If you’re young and single, it’s foolish not to stay in great shape. You’ve got time, it helps with meeting women to be in shape, though you see lots of fat guys with women too, and you’ll feel a lot better. Adding bulk will help more with gay men than women.

Ofcourse it does.. every time you excell at something people will notice..

3 days a week with serious training puts you ahead of most people.. especially after 30..

If you keep it up at 40 you'll be the shit unless you compare yourself with the top 10%..

One thing Is, guys overestimate the amount of muscle they need for attraction. Old school bodybuilding is way more attractive than the jay Cutler or Ronnie Coleman look.

Because I take time off from boxing/martial arts and cardio. I feel my body is primed for what bodybuilder refer to as super compensation.

Also, it makes it easier to open doors. Because you have bigger muscles. And you use those muscles to open doors.

I have excelled in boxing and sambo but people don't see that. With bodybuilding people get to see it and either admire or envy it.

I legit lol at this comment and best part is...it's true!
