When it comes to A level athletes and body types and body types that produce best mma fighters
There are so many different body types In mma. But with all this talk about A type athletes we know with a lot of sports and positions in different sports body type matters and are different body types. Gymnast are getting smaller while Olympic swimmers have longer and longer torsos

also most people are born with the three muscle fiber types
slow twitch muscle fiber this is what distance runners and marathon runners have and usually the once winning gold medals in marathons at the Olympics will have itleast 70 to 80% slow twitch muscle fiber. So slow twitch muscle fiber is for the gas tank

There is fast twitch muscle fiber A
which is what 100 meter sprinters and high jump athletes have but these muscles tire easily but a sprinter in the Olympics will have 70 to 80 percent of fast twitch muscle fiber A when they are born

There is fast twitch muscle fiber B
which is the middle between fast twitch A muscle fiber and slow twitch muscle fibers

clearly connor mcgredgor born with high amounts of fast twitch muscle fiber A including boxers like deontay wilder

But then there are fighters like nat diaz and Tyson fury who have great gas tanks who have more fast twitch muscle fiber B

George st pierre talks about being fast twitch a muscle dominant so he would focus his training on being energy efficient. He had speed and athletics but had to train to maintain his gas tank

Also with muscle fibers the body types that match up are

ectomorphs the skinny have hard time putting on fat and muscle tend to be slow muscle twitch dominant
I don't know if there really is a ectomorph in mma but these are guys super skinny and the type of bodies you see with long distance marathons

mesomorphs tend to be fast twitch muscle fiber and explosive. Power equals mass times acceleration. They have athletic build wide shoulders long legs long arms and put on muscle east and put on very little fat. Lebron james George st pierre

endomorph body types tend to be fast twitch muscle fiber but the slower fast twitch muscle fiber but can store more energy aka fat. These people tend to put on fat easy and muscle easy Daniel cormier

You're trying really hard at this A level stuff.

Long arms - when standing elbows should reach hips.

I love all the sources linked to show that this isn't all just nonsense. If there was a body type for MMA you wouldn't have so many different body types winning UFC titles.

What about the 10000 hours rule? If you train enough of anything you'll be good at it.

The superior body type.

I want the body of a chess level athlete.

Ectomormphs are a little better suited to mma than endo or meso, because of the excessive weight cutting involved and the size advantages at that weight. (Except at heavyweight)

This is provided everything else is equal, including athleticism.

The best body type is the kind that can carry a big enough wallet to buy the best steroids

what is the closest to the perfect body and muscle type for mma? Or is it who can use there body type the best. Cause each body type requires different skill levels

I keep hearing nba and nfl would dominate in mma but would they even though they are athletic and explosive they also have weaknesses. Being explosive athlete has mostly pros for basketball and football but for sports like mma it has a lot of cons like for example nfl players are explosive and high vertical jump and fast 40 yard dash shows fast twitch explosive muscles but they also tire fast so would that be a big liability in mma

The best body type for fighting sports starts with a concrete head.

The actual greatest determinants in athletic performance are neural in nature. Like muscle fibers, aspects such as motor unit recruitment, rate coding and rate of force development are trainable, but with far more difficulty and display the greatest degree of variation. (read work by Verkhoshansky and Zatsiorsky for starters).

I am not saying fiber type and ratios do not play a role, but given the wide variety of skill demands in MMA, they play less of a role than neural factors.

Somatotyping is 1940's pseudo science.
what about muscle types
fastest sprinters have fast twitch muscle
marathon runners have slow twitch muscle fiber

slow twitch muscle fiber goes with ectomorph as the body can preserve more energy
fast twitch is explosive so body uses energy very fast

isn't it everyone has a bit of all three body types along with the three different type of muscle fibers

Post was looking pretty dumb but then OP threw in the somatotype BS in just to make sure to get called an idiot.
