bodyweight exercise increase endurance mainly, whereas weights increase strength and mass. to become lean you just need a good diet and cardio
 
Diet and cardio. Also body weight excersies are purely endurance muscles, weights are for speed and power

reisistance exercise has shown to be better for body composition than aerobic training. aka listen to urban here.
