Honestly man, next time he goes to Australia that card better have at least 2 other Middleweight fights on the card JUST in case.

As for the fight. It's tough to say. Adesanya I feel will be the more technical and versatile striker, but Gastelum's boxing is NOT to be slept on in this fight. It's carried him all the way to the title.

I feel Adesanya's path to victory lies within his ability to stay at range, and pick Gastelum apart, and look for a late finish. I think he should avoid boxing range with Gastelum at ALL COSTS, especially while Gastelum's fresh, dudes got a nice pullback 1, 2.

I honestly think despite being the better stand up fighter, it's a tough match up for Adesanya, he has to fight a near perfect fight. Gastelum's got power and Adesanya has a suspect chin. Gastelum just needs one opportunity and it's lights out for Adesanya. Tough fight.

Yeah man, the Aussies have really been getting screwed over with their events, and they turn up during our broadcast hours (US) they deserve better. Hopefully the next aussie card is Mini MW tourney, with a few contender fights, and a just bleed opener. Maybe Dan Hooker x Paul Felder?

As for the fight, I can't wait. I see this like the evolution in Striker x Grappler match ups. Gastelum is such a competent striker, but Israel is so dynamic and is confident in every range. Like you said bro Kelvin has to mix in that wrestling, no doubt that will make his boxing much more effective, especially in tight exchanges against the fence. Love me some Izzy, but it's obvious he's been avoiding the upper echelon grapplers. Let's see what he's about.

I agree, Izzy has to fight a perfect fight I can't see him knocking KG out, and KG obviously has more weapons. Izzy needs to stay at kicking range, and snipe Kelvin with his long cross and quick jabs, while hip feinting. Maybe throw in a head kick here and there to make KG bite on some feints. Footwork will determine this fight should it go Izzy's way.

My first thought as well. I think Whitaker can win, but I rarely say "This guy will lose for sure" when looking at a high level striker like Israel.

Yeah man, I understand some random MMA fighter coming up the ranks, but a fighter with a very complete skill set in another sport (specialist) is always a mother fucker in MMA if they can round out their skills (Shevchenko, Maia, Jacare, Askren, etc).

He's still young, and has had a run of real bad luck in this regard which is why he really needs to now shake this rep and start establishing his legacy. I love Bobby, think he can end up being one of the greats but even as a big fan I'm starting to become annoyed with his luck since winning the title. Ease up in camp if you have to Rob, but you gotta start making it to fight night brother.

Can't argue with any of this. It's only gonna keep the mouth breathers riding the "Rob's never defended narrative" if he doesn't. Man I felt so cheated. I need to see Whittaker x Gastelum, like, I need to! Hope Rob isn't rushing it either. He should take his time and come back in September or October. PPV headliners are covered up until September anyways.
