pretty unwinnable? he KO'd Nogueira in the opening seconds of the fight buddy.

he woke Nogueira back up with the first punch he threw.

Nogueira also refused to rematch him.

Yeah with the power bomb I'm aware of the whole fight. I actually watched MMA back then unlike most people on this site. The consensus before the fight was Sapp had no chance and despite anything he did in the fight he couldn't put Nogueira away. Sapp's ground game was next to non-existent and Nog's chin was adamantium back then. Most fans thought it would be a typical Nog win, get punished, opponnent gasses, late Nog sub and that's exactly how it happened. Sapp had one moment in the fight and it was early, Nog was never in trouble apart from that. I was unaware that a rematch was even offered. Do you have a source for that?

you said it was an unwinnable fight, how is it unwinnable when he nearly killed Nogueira in the opening seconds and was pretty much beating the absolute fuck out of him for nearly 10 minutes?
 
Of course I don't mean unwinnable in its literal sense use a bit of intuition. I mean prior to the fight MOST people thought Sapp had a very narrow path to victory (a quick bum rush KO or something similar) but the deck was heavily stacked in Nog's favor and when Nog won it came as little surprise because the fight was "unwinnable" for Sapp.

Yeah, I dont know why people fault Sapp for this.
When you hire Sapp you KNOW what you get its not a secret.
He gets paid because people want to pay for what he offers. I cant blame a man for making a living.

Dude made / makes bank and he saved his money he is well off.
I read an interview with Bob a few years back and it seems he has a good head on and was /is wise with his money.
Its invested and he lives a quite life with his at the time 6 cats.

Yeah, at the expense of his legacy as a fighter. He is laughing stock now...I'm not referring to money. He could of retired comfortably with all his money he made from commercials, acting etc.

Bob Sapp?
I dont think Bob ever had a legacy to begin with, if he did he would have had quit after the Hoost fight,
and that would have costed him a ton of money and fame.

I dont think anybody laugh at Bob Sapp. He never claimed to be a GOAT or a contender or even good.

And its sad and hurts his legacy, while Fedor getting beat up win or lose, Chuck coming back at 67 years old or even Diego Sanzes?
Nah man, see Bob is doing his thing and people still pay to see him fold.

Sapp does it because he wants too, not because he has too.
You will see fighters keep fighting because they have too, now thats sad.
