does anyone else feel uncomfortable when they're sparring and the other person gets a bloody nose or some type of cut or something? I guess we usually keep going till the end of the round but i really dislike getting other peoples blood on my gloves or clothes.

do you usually stop sparring when theres a bloody nose immediately or just keep going?

not trying to sound like a wuss but you never really know what other guys could have...

It really doesn't bother me but if you have a problem with it just stop and ask the guy to take care of it real quick.

Its a fucking biohazard man. If its just a little drip I might let it slide but otherwise its time to stop and get out the bleach spray.

my nose sucks ass and bleeds all the time so I'm just kind of used to blood. You will get used to it in time man because in the gym blood is kind of like decoration.

If it happened when sparing i would be worried because you never know what people have and i wouldnt want people to be bleeding on me.

If it was in a fight i could care less, everyone is tested.

I have these pretty gay tendency to faint whenever I see lots of blood. I did faint in my gym when I saw one of the guys got cut.

    PS. I'm taking nursing LOL

    Future homicidal maniac?

  16. Not really disgusted by blood. I had a very serious car wreck a little over a year ago. The lower half of my knee was shattered, my elbow was fracture, and to top it all off my jaw got torn out of the tissue in my mouth. After that blood doesn't phase me. I am also not to worried about any pain that might get inflicted on me in a fight.

Only thing I would worry about would be blood born pathogens. But any decent gym should have a cleanup kit.

i have the same problem, and i HATE it... ive ended up hurting mself really bad(neck screwed, concussion, in bed for 15 days) due to trying to resist fainting, and then finally passing out cold and falling on my face. Sounds pathetic i know, all the more reason i hate it... is there a solution? :(

Like what the old guys say, practice makes perfect. Practice watching some gross bloody vids on youtube. Make sure someone is looking after you. Then after some time, the fear of blood will be lessen. Sounds really funny but it worked well for me and my buddies.

I also had the same experience. Almost broke my nose but the next thing I remember was this sexy little nurse checking my nose and saying: "you do boxing and you are afraid of blood?!?". Not a bad experience for me though.
