A movie I always liked .. from the early to mid 90's ... follows three gang members basically and their journey from childhood to adulthood ... how many people have seen it and liked it??? where do you rank it with other gang movies like colors, american me etc??

has a pretty good cast, benjamin bratt, delroy lindo, billy bob thornton, one of the guys from fame/colombiana ...

I watched it a couple months ago and I thought it was pretty good. I thought Damian Chapa was kind of funny in the movie at times. It seemed like he wanted to be one of the gang members so badly. Also, I felt bad for him after

He gets the jump on the police officer Paco in the robbery scene (Benjamin Bratt) but still does not shoot him. Then he runs away and Paco shoots his leg

Watch it every now and then. It's a good movie, but man is the acting wonky. Sometimes it sounds like it's dubbed or something.
