BLM (burn, loot, murder) rioters now burning bibles.

Is this post a joke? Jesus was always for helping out the poor and the sick. He turned a fish a bread into many fishes and bread and fed the poor. He cured the sick, this is all in the bible so what makes you think Jesus wouldnt be for giving poor people free healthcare? Are you even a christian?

Performing miracles to heal people is not the same thing as telling middle class people that the government should make them spend thousands of dollars more on healthcare so that able-bodied poor people can have "free" healthcare.

Not taking over the government? Government officials have literally gotten on their knees to appease BLM. Mayors and Governors have permitted BLM to take over public roads (taking over the streets is something the Brown Shirts did). BLM supports the destruction of the family (something the KR supported). BLM supports the mass transfer of wealth from the members of one group to another (as have all communists). BLM supports the destruction of symbols of the past (as the Chicoms did during Mao's cultural revolution).

Now you're equating a nonsense symbolic gesture with the nazis, who had their political enemies killed in the dead of night.

You're being hyperbolic to the point of extremity, and your point is pathetically laughable. You're also being completely dishonest in your characterizations.

But it is funny how you pick and choose aspects of the characterization you've created to label them with.

Did they take over the government like the nazis? check. Do they hate the family unlike the nazis, but like the KR? check.

You don't even seem to be knowing the nature of what you write while you're writing it.

"BLM supports the destruction of symbols of the past"

Claiming the Bible is a "Catholic" book is anachronistic. There was no "Roman Catholic Church" as we know it until the schism in 1054. What makes the Bible a Catholic book as opposed to an Eastern Orthodox book?
I'm not here to split hairs over the schism; if Orthodoxy wants to claim the Bible, that's fine, but "Bible believing" American fundamentalists don't have a leg to stand on-- especially when they disparage the Catholic Church.

I'm still waiting for you to get back to me with the details of those Republican healthcare plans, btw...

BLM is founded on the idea that society is fundamentally divided between oppressors and oppressed, and that its their job to liberate the oppressed from their oppressors. The Nazis thought that way, as did the bolsheviks, as did the Chicoms, as did the KR. They want to tear down members of one group and replace them with a new hierarchy. In their efforts to achieve this, what moral constraints do they have that the others didn't?

I will be honest, being an outsider on the issue.
The only thing that really scares me out is the fact that these are young middle/high class(most of then white) Americans who got probably permanently brain washed by the school system/media.
They have money, most because of heritage but zero skills to keep an entire country stable in the future.

I know that because in my country the exact same thing is happening.

These “kids” don’t want to grind for a better opportunity, they blame everything wrong on everything else besides themselves and they think everything should be a given to then because they just deserve it.

Its a recipe to disaster .

Who said it was the same though? No one even had healthcare back then. That still didnt stop Jesus from feeding the poor and healing them. You said where does bible say the government should give the poor people free health care? Well the son of god himself made sure he helped out as many sick people and hungry people as he could. Republicans cant even follow the teachings yet they love to call themselves christians.

I'm well aware of textual criticism. You're avoiding my question, which is what does it mean to say the Bible is a "Catholic" book? Regardless of if Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John wrote the gospels, the people who wrote the gospels said nothing about a magisterium, apostolic succession, that the Bishop of Rome would be the 'father' of the church, etc.

Nowhere do the Gospels (or James, Peter, John's letters, or Revelation) say that hundreds of years later there would be a council, and that the people at the council who decided what would constitute a "New Testament canon" would be inspired and that their successors would have doctrinal authority.
Oh, I get it now! You feel embarrassed because you were called out for either being ignorant of Christ's teaching or just outright rejecting them, so you feel the need to nitpick semantics in order to gain some back some face and look like you are a real Christian when you clearly aren't.

From where do you think morality derives?

He did it for free too. These "Christians" loudly proclaim that our taxes shouldn't go to healthcare or feeding the hungry, but are silent when it comes to tax money funding bombs and arms that are sold to the Saudis and used on civilians.

Late 90s, and the early 2000s. It was pretty common at college. I saw it so often it didn't even register after a while. Not saying it was all the time. But that it was common enough that one got used to it or what have you

I went to college in the late 90s and I never saw or heard anything about burning bibles anywhere the tri-state area. And I would have heard about it...

I call BULLSHIT!

More Socialism always leads to taking away of 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. For example, European socialist countries don't have free speech and other freedoms that we have in our Constitution. You give govt more control over your life, healthcare or whatever, you will always see your rights gradually taken away as well. So for many Christians, it's better to be free

As a staunch secularist and atheist I think burning others holy books is grotesque behavior. Why do it unless said religion is holding a knife to your throat? To say I'm not a fan of Islam is a hilarious understatement but I wouldn't burn any one of their trilogies. The shitbirds amongst the religious are outnumbered by the decent people just wanting to live life to their best ability.

Ignorant of Christ's teachings? Quit projecting and quote the part where Christ or one of his apostles said anything like the government should force middle class people to pay significantly more for healthcare so that able-bodied poor people can have "free" health insurance.

It was never covered. That's why you never heard if it. I'm sure there are dozens kf protests that I saw that were never covered as well.

Jesus healed and gave food freely. That's not even remotely close to a secular government making healthcare more expensive for the middle class so that able-bodied poor people can have free health insurance.

Public school, roads, fire departments, social security, research & development in medicine and more have all been "more socialism" and yet you still have your 1st and 2nd amendment rights. Try another argument.
