haven't listened to the video because it's probably cringeworthy, but i do agree that we need to seriously consider removing some of the powers of law enforcement and strengthening the second amendment and allowing citizens to police themselves. however, judging by some of the reactions to this video, i'm sure her views were a bit more extreme and/or inarticulate

I'd be willing to bet that a majority of these protesters are anti-gun people. Without a gun or a police force, who or what is going to protect them from the criminal element? Their safe spaces or something?
 
Also, I love the stupid way these discussion go down. She states the absurd idea of abolishing the police, someone objects and she responds with "can we agree that the loss of a life is tragic? Can we?!"

You want to take away some of the powers of law enforcement and move more towards a "wild west" scenario? By that I mean giving people more leeway with guns and letting them police themselves?

Obviously inner city black communities have major problems, no one would disagree with that, but she's not entirely wrong. We've had a state monopoly on police for so long it's hard, but certainly not impossible, to imagine an alternative. Take the Detriot Threat Management Center as a perfect example:
