How are y'all handling the snow? LOL

I'm handling it great. Went for a swim outside earlier.

Nice and warm here

They're still recovering from the disastrous flooding that the media didn't report

No snow here in my part of L.A county just some wind gusts but nothing serious the news are exaggerating. It hit 48 degrees which is warmer than our coldest day this winter of 39.

La county is very large the only people that will see snow are folks near the mountains those of us near the coast which is the majority of the population here will be okay the bigger threat is the 50 mph wind gusts we are supposed to have even the rain isnt supposed to be so bad we had harsher rain in january where it hit like 2 ft of rain

This "blizzard" might affect the inland empire and las vegas more those places have shittier weather

A blizzard in Cali, arizona, & new mexico..... while in MD in February its about to be 80 degrees today....

Welp, Nibiru is here.

Aren't most of the houses in Arizona and New Mexico Adobe houses? Stay warm yall. Some folks are not prepared for this type of weather.

And people in LA often live in Tents.

Those homes in the high desert (taos pueblo for instance) get snowed on every year...

That place they showed on the news in the OP is in the middle of butt fuq nowhere in L.A county and had like 1 inch of snow
They did that here too at Colfax on the i-80 ...I do think the weather will happen somewhat.

Snow on the grapevine must really suck btw

We have snowstrom every other week In Quebec

And even if we are used to it,
it's still a tough time and peoples dies now and then.

Can't imagine how bad it's going to be for place like these who are not used to it.
(and that's an understatement)

I suspect that 1 inch of snow in the city of LA would shut the roads down completely. People there can't drive on dry roads. Rain causes havoc. How would they handle slippery roads.

There might not be any reason to worry as the weather guessers don't seem to be very accurate. We were told to expect 2 feet or more of snow and got about 6 inches.

I live in AZ and the weather has been insane lately. Freezing rain, hail, 40 knot winds, snow and rain. Every day for the past few weeks it's been something new.

Portland is getting dumped on. I think they got 11 inches which is causing hysteria lol. It's the apocalypse to them. I live about 3 hours east and we got a light dusting. Enough to cover the roads and cause some accidents. Nothing we haven't had before.

All of the mainstream media in the United States reported extensively on the flooding and even the BBC in the UK. These are just five articles I found within a minute of doing a google search.

Was snowing in the desert like 60 miles from LA yesterday. The city itself won’t get any actual snow

Snow is common in the mountains in the Southwest. When I was in Northern New Mexico and Arizona in December of 2019 the temps were in the single digits at night and they had just gotten 17 inches of snow.
