International Blizzard games accused of blocking people from deleting accounts. Sounds illegal.

You may be right bit it seems like semantics. If China tells a company to act a certain way or lose millions or billions of dollars that seems like direct influence. But I see if you look at it the other way the company is choosing to receive the money by acting a certain way so it's the companies choice not Chinas influence.

China is really showing its fascist hand lately. The more Western companies and governments cave-in the more the CCP will engage in bullying.

Diablo was awesome Diablo 2 blew it away, especially with the expansion packs. Diablo 3 blew the big one, was too short and sucked honestly.

Always wished someone would have made a sexual to Nox tho.

As far as the actual story goes, shouldn’t punish people for speaking out against China, that was the wrong thing to do.

Also, different culture hard to judge

Change your location to a Chinese server, and my guess is that you would get banned.

The idea is to stop a mass movement of people deleting their accounts. Even if there is a temporary boycott, they are alot more likely to retain the customers long term if the accounts dont get deleted.

Blizzard restores deleted accounts. WOW nerds are always going to come back for their fix.

Some context that @VivaRevolution failed to provide.

Recently Blizzard banned a professional hearthstone player during a tournament because he said “Liberate Hong Kong. Revolution of our age!” during an interview at an event.

The player Blitzchung, himself is from Hongkong. Their story is that political speech isn't allowed at events.

    TL;DR

Blizzard is caving to Chinese authorities to protect their bread basket. The Chinese market is huge for them and probably more important to them than NA even.

They also fired the 2 interviewers, and released a press statement saying they will always defend the honor of their country.

I agree 100% China is going full in here. They should have waited 20 years to do all this stuff. As they aren't powerful enough to say F it and do it anyhow. This will push away investment and cooperation.
Heck I've seen a whole lot of the toys and junk I buy coming from India, Indonesia and the sort. This is only going to accelerate that

The silver lining in all of this is that China is exposing itself to the world. It will only get worse if China is not confronted now. I blame our greedy capitalists in large part, for enabling and advancing China. And Nixon.

True. But Nixon was just messing with the USSR when he did that. Allowing China I to the WTO despite it obviously not willing to abide by any rules was what did it. how many jobs were lost due to their govt cheating everyone else involved?
But yes, they tried to bluff everyone here a d it's backfiring. Just like in HK their heavy handed and frankly stupid ways of running thing is just making them more enemies, and making them life long enemies.
They'll end up losing what HK is, a massive financial center that serves as a conduit into China. They'll force many wealthy and educated out, which will benefit Singapore and Taiwan.
Xi is as heavy handed and ham-fisted as a badly done 80s movie character

Can't you not delete your Facebook? You can only hide and suspend it?

I think you can permanently delete it, where they give you 2 weeks or so before it's permanently gone just in case you end up changing your mind. At least that's how it used to be.

I don't know because I keep mine around for a few reasons. But I remember a friend who fully quit Facebook complaining that he couldn't truly delete it

The "oh shit, I regret that" couple weeks option is fair tho as long as it does fully go away after 2 weeks

I think meth and bingo is impossible unless maybe you are playing 6 games and running the bingo game.
