Rich men of Richmond has blown up to a very fast amount of success but like with Jason Aldean's 'Try that in a small town'. There are critics that say the song is racist and pro-confederate. Just like with Jason Aldean, a large amount of black youtubers have reacted to the song to see if the claims of racist messaging are true.

I actually expected to hate it when I hit play. Obvious some of his points are stupid. However. He is actually a talented artist and made me feels. Props to him
Right? It’s like this guy is just putting the struggles of himself and the people around him in song form. He has talent and it’s a pretty good song. Is it a song for the ages? No. Obviously not. Is the guy a racist because he doesn’t like taxes? No.

How could anyone come up with that song is racist?

They have to been doing it for attention no one can be that stupid.
YT Algorithm suggested this video for me. It's the only Black youtuber reaction of the song I've watched.

These 2 guys are totally supportive of Oliver and the lyrics.

EDIT
Here's 2 female Black youtubers that was just suggested to me by the algorithm. Both of them praise the song and Oliver and talk about how they relate to it.

Who the fuck actually thinks this song is racist?

I can maaaaybe understand the Jason Andean complaints due to the imagery and not the song itself but IMO that's people going out of their way to look for things to complain about.

This song though, he makes it very clear he's upset at the gov. Not exactly racist.
