Black OPS III beta anyone playing?

I heard they originally were going to do another Vietnam game
 
Beta is open to everyone this weekend.
 
The new game mode where you escort the game mode. Holy shit I haven't had this much fun playing COD in YEARS.
 
I had some fun with the beta (other than the smallest map, that map is horrible), but I just know it's going to be a cheesy clusterfuck of a game. Like MW2, but worse thanks to all of the new abilities.
 
A lot of us have been asking for a cheap as fuck game like MW2 for some time now. Stealing the Supers from Destiny was a smart move. Everything else in cod has gotten incredibly stale. The real problem will be if you can permanently unlock specialist abilities. There will be nothing but Reapers all over the place and Search and Destroy will become a clusterfuck of Nomad's with their traps and resurrection ability.

Yeah, it's a blast. One guy on my team got 96 kills. Really need Ghost for that mode though. UAV spam in full effect. Bring your black hats.
 
COD is always for for 2 weeks after it comes out, but after I play a few rounds, they all start to mesh together.
 
How good the multiplayer is will determine if I buy this or not. I don't give a sh*t about the campaign or zombies. The only thing that worries me is the futuristic gear and weapons and now that apparently you can't customize loadouts but have to use "specialists." I skipped Ghosts and AW but I wouldn't mind getting back into the CoD multiplayer. Can some of you who've tried the beta give some insight on how the futuristic gear and weapons affect the gameplay and more info on the whole specialist thing?

It's either get this when it comes out, or stick to Splatoon as my multiplayer shooter fix. Splatoon is the most fun i've had with a shooter in a very long time.
 
didn't play much has i was watching the cs go games. but the game played alot like Black ops 2, which to me is the best cod mp wise. ppl arent jumping everywhere like retards the maps i played where very good alot like blops2 the respawns where very good as well, i didn't get backstabed at all. pretty much everything i despised in ghosts isnt there anymore and the crazy air shit got tonned down.
 
Beta is super fun. I like all the maps. Map and gameplay feel like COD4 to me which is imo the best in the series. Very tempted to do a day 1 buy
 
i already pre ordered the digital deluxe comes with the season pass and all 4 DLCs scheduled to be released save $40 buying it together
 
Tried playing again today but it won't put me in a game, just keeps searching for matches.

When I did play last night it was fun with a pretty good pace. I had to laugh at the amount of camping in a beta, the maps are also very sniper friendly with lots of straight paths. Then again I could just be bitter about getting sniped a bunch.
 
Ok, I'm pretty sold on this game. Maps feel good, shooting feels good and I like the Specialization stuff although I feel atm that the bow and arrow is easily the best.

Lag sucks ass but I'm sure it's related to the beta being a stress tester.
 
I haven't played cod since BO1 but the beta was pretty fun. Maps are solid. Nice diversity in weapons with none that is overpowered. Some of the specialist abilities are ridiculous tho. Easy to get spawn trapped in certain modes also.
 
Holy shit you can get so many kills with the Reapers Scythe. Nowhere near as limited in shots as the others.

Does that just auto matically shoot when it hovers over someone? Some of the kill cams I saw with that ability just seemed too good

No you have to shoot it but you can sit there and hold aim which spins it before firing so there's no wind up. If you're in a line of sight where the enemy team is all coming towards you, you can just hose them down while the other specials are single shots with a minor delay. It's the death machine on steroids but operates just the same.

It felt so op I think when the game comes out and if that's not fixed, majority of TD lobbies will be that specialist. I was running with the vision one, finally saw someone else use it and noticed I could see it being used on the mini map.... Lame.

Yeah it'll probably get a reduction to the 200 mag, a massive increase to fire rate or a reduction to bullet damage. Last one seems least likely though because then it wouldn't be able compete with other specials. So probably gonna get a limit to how much usage you can get out of it. But yeah it's definitely more powerful than the others if used correctly and they definitely are aware of that and put him as a higher unlock. Reaper will probably end up as a much later unlock. Maybe even the last one. It's hard to say since we haven't seen the last specialist.

Wait, are you saying using that x-ray oracle ability pings you on the radar?
