Black in America on CNN

I turned on the TV to see this show. What a dumbass show.

What does it mean to be black in america?? It means you have a black skin tone. End show. Roll credits. They had these two black girls come on complaining about being pestered by the question. "we shouldn't have to answer" I ask everyone I get to know well what there nationality is. Why? Because it's very interesting. I value history. Ive traveled the world. It's interesting to know what people's heritage is and sometimes asking brings about interesting family history stories.

Oh wow! it's sponsored by Walmart. My opinion of CNN just went down.

I'm Canadian and i've never had any instance of racism while spending time with black friends. Are they treated differently? Im sure it does happen.

Thank you. Hugo Stiglitz is my favorite film character of all time. That scene where he is getting poked by the german and having flashbacks of being whipped is brilliant. Fireworks are good! It's productive to talk about things that evoke a passionate response.

Im with you there. Everyone knows our societies have racist people. Everyone knows people can be racist within their race. Honestly as a white person watching the show I feel like black people are being portrayed as broken, embarrassed and self destructive. It's poorly done.

Yep. CNN has always been my go to for news but im starting to get annoyed. Anytime anyone with a viewpoint that isn't supported by the network come on they are conned, cut off, tricked, outmatched, bullied etc.

Before people of opposing viewpoints engage in debate on a network as large as CNN they should be vetted and given debate guidelines. DO NOT INTERRUPT THE PERSON WHENEVER THEY SAY SOMETHING YOU DONT LIKE. It makes you look stupid. If you must shake your head so be it. But wait your turn and then plead your case.
