Check out this choke using only one hand, finishes the fight in less than a min. Pretty sweet choke can be set up from multiple positions.

    That... was gi specific :D

Holy hell, nice move. I'm sure he's practiced the hell out of it but it really looked a lot like on-the-spot creativity.

what's with the grappling videos shot from across the room? you can't even see where their hands are, it's just two guys moving around the mat...from a distance.

both Tim and Phil are top notch BBs from Texas. Phil has fought a couple times in the WEC.

Wish we had a close up as to what he did.

    Tim, what did you do!??!

Tim loves loop chokes, I've never seen him use that actual variation tho. I trained with time for about a year and a half, he's a awesome guy and very fast on the mat. I've visited phil cardellas gym in austin once, he welcomed me to train again. Its just nice to see a couple blackbelts laying it on the line in a local comp. Both good people as well.

Sorry thats as close as I could get. One of our other guys filmed a closer version I'll upload that one too.

Actually Andre has been getting a lot of emails and text messages asking for the details to this choke and the variations. So he is working on putting that together, once its finished I'll post it up for you guys. Its definately a creative choke because you feel one hand in and dont realize the danger until its too late.

BTW did anyone notice who the ref was? The great Master Relson Gracie himself!!

That's my go to move these days from everywhere...attacking sitting guard, from full guard, from half guard top or bottom, standing, even occasionally from under side control...great choke, easy to get, fast finish, works on all body types. Nicely done there, very nice.

Gracie Grappling Cup hosted in San Antonio Texas. It was put up by Relson Gracie and one of his local Acadmies in Town. Relson Gracie was also the ref for this match.
