BJJ vs karate: Jiu-Jitsu Match

I want to be as honest as I can in the thread...I know we can be sensitive here A buddy of mine is a black belt karate instructor at bushi ban with limited jiu-jitsu instruction. He wanted to roll with me, and we did ....afterward he had a hefty respect for jiu-jitsu and wanted to learn. I began to teach him the basics and would follow with a 30 min session of free rolling. I know a lot of us are interested in Jiu-jitsu vs no experience vidoes. This video is nothing to brag about... anybody with 3 to 4 stripes on a even a white belt can produce similar results on an inexperienced opponent. I just always love videos that illustrate how effective Jiu-jitsu is.

Although I was rolling at 50% against him due to his inexperience...I would love to hear any CONSTRUCTIVE critisism.

(I'm obviously in the Gracie Barra white...and he is in the Bushi Ban Black)

I think it is interesting to see matches with people of obvious different abilities. Sometimes Roger vs Xande can be boring. They are too equally matched.

I like the fact that our art can be practiced without even hurting an untrained opponent.

Yes it does..but from what I know its limited and I assume watered down some what.

Your CRAZY...or a teenager. The beetles "Come together" is a classic and used as a background to for the intro to more bad asses than you can count on your little fingers. My favorite being "A Bronx Tale" when sonny beats the shit out of the bikers.

Your a little too worried about being Gay bro. I think the fact that its in my DAUGHTERS room, who if you can't tell by now...I made with my WIFE, you should turn your gaydar off...I thought only gay guys had that anyway. You may not love jiu-jitsu...But I do and love training and will do it anywhere anytime I can.

True...I'm a black belt in Tae Kwon Do anyway...so I know what he knows lol...and more importantly...I know NOT to use Tae Kwon Do...lol

Prolly true...he was tired from all the drills and the fact that we always roll for 10 minutes in the beginning to warm up. He's gotta get used to using those muscles you ONLY use in Jiu-jitsu lol
