I want to start competing in bjj asap , but i'm currently not affiliated with a team , just training in different gyms all the time.

I know little to nothing of how the point system works , what would be a good way to learn it quick.

I'm always going for the sub , giving up position in rolling , so i figure i need to have my game more accustumed to getting points.

There's nothing wrong with attacking all the time, just make sure you solidify your dominant position for 3 seconds to get the points and then attack. Not saying you should stall for points instead of go for submissions, just be sure to get your points before you go for the submission.

    Position before submission!
