He's looking old these days and that's without the punches to the face.

We shall see.

Braulio was supposed to make his MMA debut last year but the card got canceled.

no one but him can run his life. but would much rather see him in bjj/nogi comps.

really dont get how ppl rather see bjj aces just stay doing bjj than going to MMA... this guys have done it all in the grappling world, its the normal evolution of our sport... MMA, even if you guys dont like, its the ulitmate proving ground for every single MA art threre (well, at least the one that acutally do teach you how to fight, we have cartoon network for the deadly stuff)...

War brauliio!

I'm no expert on Braulio but I wouldn't have thought his style was ideally suited to mma. I'd like to be proven wrong but I think he's more of a tricky tactical player as opposed to a very rough and physical player and the latter is better suited to mma where people will be trying really hard to disengage the grappling champ.

unless you are Roger, there is no way to make it as far as he made it without being very strong guy... Braulio is a beast...

Braulio is an innovator and i'm very curious how he will play his ground game and if he will bring something new to the table. It would be great to see him on a bamma or strikeforce challengers card.

I just hope his neck holds up.

Transitioning to MMA...still? He was supposed to fight a year ago. My old instructor worked with him in preparation, he thinks Braulio will do extremely well.

31, he priced me out of the Dojo I was happily training at (till he took over).

Then my training partners who staid became champs so I'm just a little bitter (lol).

I was training BJJ, wrestling and Kick boxing all at the same time at different gyms it was a lot of money from a young guy

would you rather watch michael jordan play basketball or play baseball?

This is why BJJ player's MUST be paid as MMA fighter's. I know FAT CHANCE!

We need more professional organizations to hold grappling events. Forget the IBJJF.

Too bad Dana White is not a grappler. Anyone remember the event "The Contenders" I think that was the name. It was a pay per view grappling tournament. Of course, it failed : - (

Grappling is not a spectator sport. It's boring to watch if you're not in the grappling community. That's why there's no money in it.

BTW, I think Dana White has more interest in grappling than most people. Him and the Fertitas are always interested in the grappling matches at UFC expos.

BJJ isn't withholding much money from the top guys. Its simply economics, there isn't a lot of money in bjj from a competitor stand point. The money comes from seminars and academies. Lots of these guys are competitors at heart, regardless of wanting to, or being able to teach. BJJ competitions will never pay what mma pays, and once these guys reach the top, they look for a new challenge.
