I lived in Alabang for 20 years and I plan to train in Deftac(Ribeiro Jiu-jitsu) in Sucat on December

3 schools I'm thinking of checking out when I go back to PI this year.

1. Deftac
2. Atos
3. Origins

you can't go wrong with any of those teams. For quezon city, there's Deftac Mojo in
Panay Avenue. For Alabang, There's the main Deftac Branch (BAMF in Sucat). Hahahaha, kinda obvious where i train :)

Anyone schools there do more Nogi? i know its a long shot but does anyone do any 10th Planet material? Might go on vacation as well there. Thanks.

I'd highly recommend DEFTAC. Very high level of instruction, active in competition and they recently flew in Caio Terra to do some seminars.

Trained there for several months while I was in the Philippines. Be prepared for the humidity though, but that did nothing but upped my cardio and endurance.

Here's the list of BJJFP schools in PI. Lots of affiliates scattered within Manila but the ones listed below are the head schools:
http://www.bjjfp.com/main/official_schools

Atos - Ali Sulit
DEFTAC Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu Philippines - Alvin Aguilar
John Baylon Clube de Jiu Jistu - John Baylon
John Acosta BJJ - John Acosta
90 /Eight BJJ - Paul Pages
Nova União Filipinas / Team Konstrikto - Daniel Charles
Origins BJJ - Miles Vivas
Over Limit JJ Academy - Edison Kagohara
Checkmat - Jeffery Graham
Team Fabricio - Stephen Kamphuis

There's also a Gracie Academy affiliate in Makati (http://www.gracieacademy.com/training_centers.asp?s=698), and a Robson Moura school in Davao (http://newlifebjjdavao.weebly.com/). From what I know the only 10P school available in SE Asia is in Evolve MMA Singapore.

visited Manila Jiu Jitsu in Green Hills, the place will all yellow mats and walls. dudes were legit. meegie, a purple now, won the worlds twice at blue. the higher belt guys there at purple and brown are killers and medal an asian comps all the time.

clean facility and low fees when compared to the schools in the US. I think it was the equivalent to $10 daily drop in or $30-35 a week. friendly folks also didn't wanna take my money.
