Bjj/ground dvds?

  1. what are some tapes/dvds I can get that are self teaching, I mean im taking classes and all but I would like to just get better at it, so could someone let me know. thanks.

    i got ceasar gracies 3 disc set. its not too advanced yet not too elementary. only thing with self teaching is that at some point it has to be tested against a resisting opponent. i usually take 2-3 moves and try to work them over and over and over when im sparring. so its more of a resource than anything
     
  3. i got the marcelo garcia ones and they are excellent, I highly recommend them.

    Search the gear/equipment forum on Sherdog. There is a comprehensive thread covering instructionals on BJJ, Vale Tudo, etc.
     
  6. SBG dvds are good. Based more on concepts than techniques, which lend themselves more easily to self teaching.

    Try GrandMaster 9thDegree Francisco Mansor's instrutional videos. His Blackbelts include Claudio Franca, and Marcus Vinicius the founder of Beverly Hills Jiu Jitsu club. Marcus taught Bas, Sudo and others in JJ...I train with Master Mansor on a daily basis and he is amazing.
